Verditer Blue
Borage family flowers: Baby Blue Eyes, Forget-Me-Not, Oysterleaf, Borage, plus Blue Lace Agate stone
The blue of the Borage family flowers comes from Delphinidin, a ph-sensitive plant pigment. Borage flowers are known for having hairy leaves and a coiled fiddlehead-like inflorescence called a scorpioid cyme or ‘scorpion tail’ unfurlment process, much loved by the pollinators. “Borrach”, a Celtic word meaning ‘person of courage’, is one possible root of the name Borage. ‘Borage for courage’, so the saying goes.
This combination evokes the light of the blue end of the spectrum and the quality of a deep, clear, open sky. It can support a connection between the heart and throat energy centres, as well as a deeper connection to earth and sky, the inner voice, renewed courage, and emotional resilience. Being human is hard. This combination offers a sense of being more awake to life.
